News Agencies were created with a single aim to enrich the Newspapers with a wide variety of news events happening around the world. Initially News Agencies were meant to provide the news items to the newspapers but with the passage of time, the rapidly developing modern mediums such as the radio, Television and Internet too adapted the services of News Agencies. Agence France Presse or AFP is the oldest News Agency of the world. Later on Reuters was founded in England and Deutsh Press Agentur DPA was founded in Berlin. With the advent of Communism in Russia, Telegraphonie Agentsovo Sovetskogo Soyuza TASS was founded. Xinhua was lateron founded as Red China News Services in Beijing. With the advent of Freedom in the newly liberated regions of the Third World, a new wave of information dissemention had taken over and a series of News Agencies were born out of it. These agencies later on formed their own Non Aligned News Agencies Pool NANAMP. The NANAP served as a priemere information service among the countries of the third world. Below is the list of the Principal News Agencies of the World.
