    Name similarity to "cancel me"

In 2019, Cancelmi responded to inquiries about his name sounding as if someone was saying "cancel me." "It's really annoying. Honestly, people can be so immature. I mean, nobody was saying this before everyone started going around cancelling people. I just hope I don't get cancelled. Maybe it provides some sort of immunity, in a weird revere-psychology sort of way."[1]
