The National Grants Management Association (NGMA) is a professional association dedicated to the profession of grants management. Founded in 1978, NGMA currently has over 5,000 members throughout the United States and globally. The association provides grants management training and professional certification. The NGMA is not a grant-making organization and does not award grants.
NGMA offers the Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) certification, which is based on demonstrating certain education and experience requirements and successfully passing an exam on a broad body of knowledge for grants management.
