Paul Revere Middle School is a LAUSD-affilated, co-educational public charter school located in Los Angeles, California with approximately 2,100 students enrolled in grades 6 through 8.
Revere serves Pacific Palisades, Palisades Highlands, Brentwood Circle, and Brentwood Glen. The unincorporated Los Angeles County community of Topanga is jointly zoned to Revere and Woodland Hills Academy.
Paul Revere's students mainly attend, after graduation, Palisades Charter High School and University High School; some areas are jointly zoned to Palisades and Taft High School.
Founded in 1955, Paul Revere Middle School has been host to the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra on more than one occasion for the auditorium acoustics.[citation needed]
Revere first opened as Palisades-Brentwood Junior High School on September 12, 1955; but during its first year of operation the name Paul Revere Junior High School was chosen.[1] In 1991 the school was reconfigured from grades 7 through 9 to grades 6 through 8, and the name changed to Paul Revere Middle School.[2] The school received a magnet program in 1993 and became an internal charter in 1994.
