Pietro Ameglio (born in Italy 1958) is an Italian-born naturalized Mexican citizen,[1]aGandhian civil rights and peace activist. He is a professor at La Salle University in Cuernavaca[2] and has spoken internationally on issues of peace.[3] He authored Gandhi y la desobediencia civil, México hoy (Gandhi and the civil disobedience, Mexico today) (Plaza and Valdés, Mexico, 2002), a book on non-violence in Mexico. Has defended envionmentalists and humanitarians in Mexico as a member of SERPAJ-Morelos and the Latin American Council of Peace Research (CLAIP).
