Renesmee Carlie Cullen is a fictional character in the fourth and last book of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight saga,Breaking Dawn.
Renesmee name is derived from the amalgamation of the names of Bella's biological mother, Renée, and Edward's adoptive mother, Esme. Her middle name, Carlie, is a combination of the names Carlisle, Edward's adoptive father, and Charlie, Bella's biological father. Renesmee is half human, half vampire which means she has traits of Bella and Edward.She has the same facial features and hair color as Edward, but the curly hair of her grandfather, Charlie. She has pale skin that, instead of sparkling in the sunlight like normal vampires, glows. Her heart pumps blood, giving her a blush. Renesmee can survive on both blood and human food, but prefers human blood but will carry on the tradition of being a "vegetarian". She does not have venom. Renesmee grows at a fast rate, being able to speak only 7 days after birth. She will reach physical maturity in 7 years and will stop aging.
On their honeymoon, Bella and Edward go to Isle Esme and make love. Soon after, Bella finds herself having emotional swings, peculiar eating habits, and vomiting spells. After realizing that her period was late, and finding a lump in her belly, she realizes she is pregnant with Edward's child. Her pregnancy progresses at an extremely fast rate, and makes Bella extremely weak.The baby inside of her has the trait of a vampire from Edward and is so strong that it begins breaking her ribs and sucking nutrients out of her. Despite Edward's insistence that the fetus be removed in order to save Bella's life, Bella is determined to keep the baby that she has come to love. They discover that drinking blood improves Bella's condition, and Edward realizes that he can hear the baby's thoughts. He starts to feel more kindly toward the baby, especially when he hears that the baby "absolutely adores" Bella.
After Edward, Rosalie, Alice, and Jacob are forced to perform an emergency birthing, Bella's body is nearly destroyed - several ribs are broken, she loses vast amounts of blood, and her spinal cord is snapped- but she still manages to give birth. She names her child Renesmee Carlie Cullen. To Edward's horror, Bella's heart then stops beating. In order to save her, Edward injects her heart with some of his own venom and bites her body in several places, turning Bella into a vampire.
Jacob Black, thinking that Renesmee had been the cause for Bella's death, decides that he has to kill her. About to attack Rosalie, who was holding Renesmee, Jacob saw that the infant had chocolate brown eyes just like Bella's had been during her human life, causing him to realize that she was not a monster because she didn't have red eyes.
After Bella's painful transformation, the Cullen's worry that, as the baby is part human, Bella will be unable to control her thirst for blood around Renesmee. However, while hunting with Edward, Bella demonstrates extremely well developed self-control. Thus Bella is permitted to see Renesmee, and she finds that her child is still maturing and growing at a very fast rate.
Later, Jacob tells Edward that he imprinted on Renesmee when he looked into her eyes, but asks him not to inform Bella. Later, when Bella is holding Renesmee, she recognizes the way Jacob is looking at Renesmee, and realizes the he had inprinted. In the ensuing argument, Jacob refers to Renesmee as "Nessie", causing Bella to lose her self-control and attack because "he named her after the Loch Ness Monster". But when she attacked, Seth jumped in front of Jacob to protect him.

Renesmee has 2 powers and there both the opposite of Bella and Edward. Her first power that the Cullen's discover was the opposite of Edward's power, her power was to share memories by touching someones face, making it easier to communicate when she can't talk. Her second power is the opposite of Bella's power. Renesmee's second power is that she can break Bella's shield to protect.
