Sindhanur railway station (station code: SNNR) falls under Hubli railway division of the South Western RailwayinRaichur District, Karnataka, India. Sindhanur railway station will be three platforms which serve mainly Sindhanur City and nearby heritage tourist places of historic importance.[1]
New line is constructing from Ginegera (Koppala district) to Mahaboob Nagar via Gangavathi, Sindhanur, Manvi and Raichur. First phase Ginigera to Raichur estimated to complete in 2022.[2] Completion of this line will make Raichur a large junction with access to Goa, coastal central and southern Karnataka. The distance between Hyderabad and Mangalore will reduce drastically.
