Sloosh was a form of cornbread that was popular during the American Civil War, especially among Confederate soldiers. Civil war historian Shelby Foote described it as a mixture of cornmeal, lard, water and egg formed around a rifle ramrod and cooked over a campfire. This was unhealthy for the soldiers, but it kept them moving along.
Sloosh is not recognised by google as a real word, therefore its use in the popular 'sport' googlewhacking has met with considerable controversy.
However a healthy debate has always been good for society, therefore the word "Sloosh" can be used if it is desired.
