I have edited the following sentence: "One of the actions Simon took was to name a character in The Wire after Marimow and make the character "a repellent police-department toady," although Marimow is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist known for tough, well-documented investigations of the Philadelphia Police Department."
I've removed the second part of the sentence: "although Marimow is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist known for tough, well-documented investigations of the Philadelphia Police Department."
I removed it because Bill Marimow's actual reputation doesn't seem relevant to this section in the article, which is David Simon's writing process.

The way this is presented is a bit off. It's actually from a very lighthearted and funny talk he gave [1] on the subject of having a nemesis. The way its written now it's like it's supposed to be his epitaph. Probably his grudge-based motivation should be its own subsection of the writing process section, and should go into the history of his time at the Sun and his later recreation of it on the wire in more detail.... dsol (talk) 12:34, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not really a wikipedia editor, but just thought someone should try to find a place for David Simon receiving an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Johns Hopkins on May 26th, 2011. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.50.74.27 (talk) 21:37, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
David Simon was one of the primary figures interviewed for the documentary "The House I Live In." Why doesn't his wikipedia page reflect his involvement? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.88.64.186 (talk) 05:15, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
