Question: is the main non-English content of Fars website in Arabic or Farsi? -- The Anome 07:47, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It would appear the article was much more coherent until editor "Russobat" removed a lot of pertinent text back in 2007. I added information regarding its claims of independence and references to it as a semi-official agency before noticing this. Can someone vet the earlier content and restore it perhaps? I've removed: It was founded in 2002 to "promote the principles of the Islamic Revolution and safeguard national interests". I can only find this quote on mirrors of wikipedia and this google news search brings back articles from 1986 quoting FNA. Does anyone have a source that says when it was founded? "semi-official" news agency which has ties to the government." This is a joke, it has been proved over and over that CNN had psi-ops staff working inside it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.74.151.201 (talk) 16:35, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
there's no any proof that fars news published anything about time machine: story is based on anti-iranian telegraph which atributed it to fars news, and Iran has denied such story. I removed it, along with synthesis about rewording titles with dead links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.165.157.220 (talk) 18:26, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
beside of it, there's one user which want to attribute conspiracy theories to fars news, and there's explanation inside of article about whole case - it's not from Iran but Russia and Canada, and it was attributed to fars news by Jewish American bloger Max Fisher. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.165.157.220 (talk) 18:32, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm curious why the article, as it stands, contains so little information about the publication itself (i.e. publication history, ownership, political slant etc.), like, for instance The Guardian article does. Instead, it seems to be a collection of silly articles published by the publication. I'm not sure that it's particularly encyclopedic for an article such as this to focus mostly on mistakes by the publication. There are badly sourced news articles published all the time but we don't focus entire articles around them --80.193.191.143 (talk) 09:16, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You are right! This page is heavily biased against Farsnews and there are no counter/alternative POVs to balance the page. I'm going to tag the article for neutrality. Strivingsoul (talk) 16:02, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fars News Agancy is a official news agancy in Iran Mohammadreza20780 (talk) 13:35, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fars news agency is not managed by IRGC, there is no source about this issue and also Bijan Moghadam (the first editor of Fars) in April 2018 in an interview with IRNA denied this issue, of course there are rumors about the budget and management of this news agency in affiliation with IRGC exists, but so far this reliable source has not confirmed this issue, so the existence of this issue on Wikipedia violates Wikipedia's policy of impartiality, I request you to remove the unsourced content that causes page orientation.
