A fact from Itō Chūta appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 28 February 2012 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Some of the projects attributed to Itō Chūta on the Japanese Wikipedia page need verification, for instance Karafuto Jinja in Sakhalin (樺太神社). This article, advocating protection of the historic architecture of Sakhalin, says only that it was built in 1911 'as a symbol of Japanese development in what was then a new territory', and that it was rebuilt in 1940. No mention is made of Itō Chūta. Kashihara Jingū would be really interesting too, but can't find anything to back this up and he was then a junior undergraduate and this was presumably a major commission, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 18:46, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
