Mr. Lin's name is given, properly, as "Lin Yutang" according to the Chinese convention of placing the "surname" / "last name" / "family name" first and the "first name" or "given name" second. In English the convention is "first name first, last name last" and the Chinese convention is not well understood. The article then goes on to refer to him as "Lin" without an honorific (e.g., "Mr.") to indicate that this is his last name or family name. This usage will lead the English reader to take "Lin" to be his first name, rather than his last name. It also may considered to be disrespectful. I believe the article should refer to him as "Mr. Lin", not simply "Lin" and that a note of explanation about the ordering or Chinese names would be helpful.
In both sections Works in English by Adet Lin and ... Anor Lin, the first two listings have the form "[year], [title, with ...". It isn't clear to me whether Lin Yutang is also one listed author of these books. Perhaps these listings should spell out the authors, eg "Lin Yutang, Adet Lin, and Anor Lin" or "Adet Lin and Anor Lin". --P64 (talk) 00:49, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
