Does and bucks???

Someone thinks goates are does and bucks rather than Nannies and Billies. Is there some reason saanen goats especially use the deer terminolgy rather than the goat terminology? Billlion (talk) 22:48, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This may be a regional difference; like how some people spell goats as "goates." In central and western Michigan, the terms "doe" and "buck are commonly used and those terms can be found in research and other literature.
