South Korea was a good articles nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

No. See WP:NC-SoJ. This topic has been argued about in hundreds of threads across Wikipedia and every time the consensus has been to use WP:COMMONNAME, which is Sea of Japan.
Coming from a Korean, stop with the pointless nationalism. The world can easily tell what nationalism is, and it makes us look petty and childish. There are more important things to worry about. toobigtokale (talk) 20:56, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Some Koreans say names of sea are used by viewpoints from a continent such as North Sea in Europe but, in my opinion, we should use Sea of Japan as the common name in current situation while it might be named between 29th August 1910 and 15th August 1945.--Ordinary Fool (talk) 21:51, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So I think I've found the template. It should be added to the top of the article so that there is a button there and, afaict, it will also add a button to the talk.
Pls add the "Request edit button" template to the top of the article so that new and IP editors can readily see how to submit an edit request (instead of having to copy and edit wiki markup as I did to make this request). See previous edit request comments above for background.
Not done: Please follow the below steps to add edit request instead:
Click "View source" on right corner on desktop.
Click the blue "Submit an edit request" button.
Type in the changes you want to be made in the preloaded text editor. (No knowledge of wikitext markup nor copy-paste of any wikitext markup required unless if you're modifying wikitext-based markup like Infobox, tables, navbox, etc.)
Should we mention the low birth rate in the intro?
The intro already has a lot of content about recent history and culture, most of which is highly laudatory. However, I think the low birth rate is a major issue and one of the most impactful recent developments for South Korea. It's the lowest rate in the world; per CNN it is expected to decline, the population is projected to fall to 1970s levels, and the median age is projected to reach 63.4 by 2072.[1] This will counteract some of the trends mentioned earlier, like rapid rise in GDP and a large impact on the global economy.
Current we should not, birth rates get only a small aside in the body. If sources have began discussing the issue with more weight in general coverage of South Korea (eg. impacts on the economy), this should be built into the body and the sources/body will make the case for lead changes.
