The Fearless Collective was formed as a response to the [[2012 Delhi gang rape]] of a 23-year-old woman, which sparked national protests. The Collective emerged with the intention to (re)define fear, femininity and what it means to be fearless. Fearless is composed of over 400 artists in India. It is managed by Shilo Shiv Suleman and a core group of volunteers - including Shalaka Pai, Aarthi Parthasarathy, Kasha Frese, and Aruna Chandra Sekhar - but is continuously growing but nationally and internationally. |
