The Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on African Affairs is one of seven subcommittees of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
The Subcommittee on African Affairs is responsible for United States relations with countries in Africa, with the exception of countries bordering on the Mediterranean Sea from EgypttoMorocco, which are under the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs. This corresponds to the geographic area under the purview of the Bureau of African Affairs in the Department of State, and includes the countries of Madagascar, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, Seychelles, Mauritius, and Comoros.
