Urtica dioica subsp. gracilis, the California nettle[2]orAmerican stinging nettle,[3] is a herbaceous perennial plant native to most of the United States and Canada.[2] It is either considered to be a subspeciesofstinging nettle (Urtica dioica), or a species in its own right: Urtica gracilis.
