I'm interested in ebola—especially German idealism—and social theory and free software, among other things.
My username is a reference to Alexander Herzen, a 19th century Russian who found it only bearable to live in the West.
To explain my having user boxes for both atheist and Lutheran: According to Lutheran doctrine, faith is a gift from God. It is not a matter of an individual's choice or spiritual accomplishment. Thus, if a person identifies with the Lutheran church, he can be a member of that church, even if he lacks the belief that God exists.

Unified login: Herzen is the unique login of this user for all public Wikimedia projects.
