Speedy deletion nomination of Foody Mart

Hello Edipio,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Foody Mart for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

                 Current and upcoming events

September Drive: Our current backlog-elimination drive is open until 23:59 on 30 September (UTC) and is open to all copy editors. Sign up today!

Election reminder: our end-of-year Election of Coordinators opens for nominations on 1 December. Coordinators normally serve a six-month term and are elected on an approval basis. Self-nominations are welcome. If you've thought of helping out at the Guild, or know of another editor who would make a good coordinator, please consider standing for election or nominating them here.

Drive and Blitz reports

June Blitz: An uncorrected typo (even copy editors make copy editing mistakes!) led to an eight-day "leap blitz" from 14 to 21 June, focusing on requests and articles tagged in May. 19 participating editors claimed 54 copy edits. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

July Drive: Over 750,000 words of articles were copy edited for this event, keeping pace with the previous three self-isolated drives. Of the 38 people who signed up, 30 copyedited at least one article. Final results and awards are listed here.

August Blitz: From 16 to 22 August, we copy edited articles tagged in June and July 2020 and requests. 12 participating editors completed 37 copy edits on the blitz. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Other news

June election: Jonesey95 was chosen to continue as lead coordinator, assisted by Baffle gab1978, Tdslk, Twofingered Typist, and first-time coordinator Puddleglum2.0. Reidgreg took a break after serving for a couple years. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Canada's Wonderland and COVID-19

Hi Edipio: Right now Canada's Wonderland has not yet been able to confirm if the park will reopen to the general public by May 2021, but it did not open in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic (like other amusement, theme and water parks across Southern Ontario), and there has not been any updates on whether or not if the 2020 season tickets and passes which were extended to cover the park's 2021 season will be extended even further to cover the park's 2022 season as well, if the park is unable to open for the 2021 season due to the ongoing pandemic (but its still a possibility) which is why I tried to put this information up on Wikipedia earlier. [1]

I can probably assume that any amusement, theme and water parks in Southern Ontario might remain closed until COVID-19 vaccines are more widely available and herd immunity is established, so its possible that Canada's Wonderland might either have a shortened 2021 season or even remain closed until 2022 which could see those 2020 season tickets and passes extended again until 2022 when Canada's Wonderland is able to safely resume operations again after the COVID-19 pandemic is finally under control. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex (Brampton) (talkcontribs) 03:31, 27 January 2021 (UTC) Alex (Brampton) (talk) 03:36, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

February 2021 n_ please tell me why it is disruptive and if you are an inside or outside worker. Union or non-union? Why have you not compared "Flamborough, Ontario" to "Food Basics" or read this account beyond a cursory glance?

--Britcouple007's Cam (talk) 04:35, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits were disruptive because they were non-constructive and appeared to spread false/unsourced information. You also assumed that Wikipedia members that were editing Food Basics had close ties with the corporation, and that does not appear to be true. Also, I am not sure what you mean by "inside or outside worker", "union or non-union", or how Flamborough, Ontario has anything to do with Food Basics or any "files" out there. You will need to back your claims of the "threats of insiders" or "Wikipedia friends" with reliable sources if you want this on Wikipedia or for anyone to believe this. Edipio | talk 05:22, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Barnstar of Diligence
Thanks for being a steadfast worker. I will endeavor to understand but will have to research how insider corporate accounts get more access and credibility here than independent reviewers. We both have a role but yours should not be to bully when there is an example between Food Basics and Flamborough, Ontario, can we move this to the talk page? Britcouple007's Cam (talk) 04:39, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sports in Indiana

Hi, Edipio. Considering that there are many pages on Wikipedia about Grand Prix motorcycle racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, I thought there wasn't any need of sources for adding that information. Furthermore, the other motorsport events listed in that section (Indy 500, United States Grand Prix,...) have no sources; the page "Sports in Indiana" talks about it too... Reading the section, it seemed to me that Grand Prix motorcycle racing definitely needed to be added in the list.

I'm not a frequent writer on Wikipedia (I'm not even a registered user) but I've been writing for over five years and I was quite sure that my edit was correct. Anyway, you are more expert than me for sure, so I wrote my considerations but I leave to you the final decision about the topic.

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.12.214.64 (talk) 22:28, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edits getting Redacted

Hello there! Thought i'd seek some help with my edits getting redacted. It kind of annoys me when someone removes my edits and is probably stubborn on only making their own edits visible and removing anything else. I often check the articles of footballers and edit football squad templates. Sadly, not everyone is nice enough to allow it and my edits keep getting redacted even though I firmly mentioned in my last edit that i'm not attempting any vandalism and even attached reference links yet they got removed this time.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Replit, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Python. You shouldn't have reverted at Al Jazeera controversies and criticism

Hello there! In spite of my 'very terrible' habit, I'm gonna keep this very short in your unilateral interest: Why did you approve the lazy WP:ONLYREVERTbyFanardal without even bothering to investigate? They're a very familiar kind of creature to me. Replicating the edit-summaries of higher-UAL editors, falsely-marking their edits as "MINOR" or not having an ES whatsoever. Worse.. They don't even tolerate engagement on their UTP. All of that is cookie-cutter explained in the ES for my own request. I've suffered through these creatures for a period of time across sister-articles or others which are remotely-linked, some of whom have been de facto banned (suspended indefinitely), abandoned their SPAs and FORTUNATELY, a rare few who shifted their focus elsewhere. I don't want to be self-praising but being well aware of Wikipedia culture, as apparent from the very user-page designs and all: I guess as an IP editor, I should at least note that I filed for SPI against a fellow IP editor who turned-out to be just-another sock of a prolific WP:ADVOCACY warrior. And here, I pled for "pending changes" instead of the good ol' "semi-protection" because I had faith that at least senior-editors would be more aware and in spite of my life-experience to the contrary, would at least treat 2 editors at essentially the same-level as same WITHOUT false balance. Ymblanter promptly approved my request. But alas.. Turns out the status quo is far more rigid here than appreciating work-of-progress. Here are the case details, urge you to read it in full with calm-mind and enough-time. Regards. —111.223.26.156 (talk) 13:45, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Great anti vandal work

Hi Edipio, you are a great recent changes patroller, you have beaten me multiple times today on reverts, consider applying for rollback permissions. Also, you might want to answer some of the messages on your talk page. Justiyaya (talk) 22:39, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Personal pronouns

It's best practice that trans people are known by the pronouns that they're now using or prefer. Here [1] you changed Cassandra Khaw's pronoun back away from "they", despite their well documented preferences. If you'd thought that wasn't documented well enough, that would have been one thing, but it seems like you just didn't like the change or felt it wasn't necessary? Please try and respect trans individuals identity. Thank you. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 01:45, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
