Please note: If you write me here, I am going to reply here. If I left a comment on your talk page, please reply there as well.

I noticed you protected the page with "edit war/content dispute" as the reason, but there was no edit war; LDM2003 was reverting a sockpuppet per WP:BANREVERT. — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 20:20, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, an editwar with a socketpuppet then. ;-) The main goal was to stop this by protecting the page. --Leyo 20:49, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your block of User:KoA was inappropriate

It's not clear to me that they were reverting anyone on the 24th. As for their last revert, they posted to the article talk page 17:43, July 31, 2023, no one responded, and at 22:43, August 3, 2023 they reverted. In other words, they waited over 3 days. I disagree that this was edit warring. However my main concern is that you are clearly WP:INVOLVED and for some time. User:KoA discusses this in in detail as part of his unblock request which I granted and User:Smartse agrees. Do you really think that you are an uninvolved Admin? Doug Weller talk 20:04, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I should have followed up on this. I need a response asap. Doug Weller talk 07:50, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, I clean forgot I dealt with this. Doug Weller talk 07:54, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You've got mail

Hello, Leyo. Please check your email; you've got mail!
It may take a few minutes from the time the email is sent for it to show up in your inbox. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{You've got mail}}or{{ygm}} template.Doug Weller talk 11:35, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the late reply. I was on a multi-day mountain hike over the long weekend. I only returned late last night, i.e. too late to turn on the computer. --Leyo 07:12, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds fantastic. How lucky you are, I wish I could take even a short hike! Love mountains. Doug Weller talk 08:36, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for calling you she

I have no idea where I got that impression, I'm really sorry about that. Doug Weller talk 08:35, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

AFAIK I haven't revealed my gender anywhere. Hence, you are free to choose one. ;-) --Leyo 00:21, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Doug Weller talk 05:55, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, that's why I love the singular they. You don't have to remember the gender of anyone, and you don't have to care about it. Everyone's a featureless blob of meat! Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 21:27, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We didn't learn the singular they at school. Maybe things are different now. --Leyo 21:55, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Headbomb Agreed. I often use it, odd I didn't for Leyo. Doug Weller talk 09:00, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a report involving you at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement regarding a possible violation of an Arbitration Committee decision. The thread is Leyo. Thank you. KoA (talk) 04:28, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have closed this discussion without action. I'm sure you have already done so, but please read the comments in the admin section and course-correct as necessary. Best regards, – bradv 14:24, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a report involving you at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement regarding a possible violation of an Arbitration Committee decision. The thread is Leyo. Thank you. KoA (talk) 16:33, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

October 2023

To enforce an arbitration decision, and for focusing on contributors rather than content, and only selectively striking such remarks, while an AE request is open, you have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 1 week from certain pages (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pesticide Action Network). You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.

HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:34, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pesticide Action Network, to which I didn't intend to contribute anyway, was closed. --Leyo 22:08, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Tryptofish: May I ask you to move your note to where it belongs, i.e. my comment further below? My keep vote was surely not the issue. --Leyo 14:39, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done: [1]. --Tryptofish (talk) 18:52, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of arbitration request

Hello Leyo,

I have filed an arbitration request which lists you as a party. You may review the case request, and make a statement if you wish to do so, at the case request. You may find the guide to arbitration to be helpful if you are unfamiliar with the process. Regards, Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:48, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Leyo,

You were recently listed as a party to a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Industrial agriculture. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Industrial agriculture/Evidence. Please add your evidence by November 8, 2023, which is when the evidence phase closes. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration.

For the Arbitration Committee,

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You may wish to revoke TPA. Cahk (talk) 09:41, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seems reasonable. However, I have promised that I don't use my admin buttons in relation to users. May I ask you to ask another admin to do so? --Leyo 23:52, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done by Ponyo. --Leyo 19:57, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You were so gracious as to wish me well for my own recent surgery, that I want to reciprocate. I hope that everything goes very, very well for you, and that you make a rapid and happy recovery. --Tryptofish (talk) 20:39, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot to both of you. --Leyo 20:49, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
