Pioneering teenage power pop band from San Antonio, Texas was founded by brothers Hector Saldana and David Saldana in 1975. The Krayolas recorded two acclaimed indie albums,"Kolored Music" (1982) and "Dead End Life" (1987), as well as several 45 r.p.m. vinyl singles beginning in 1977. They were called Tex-Mex Beatles for their vocal harmonies and raw youthful sound. The In April 2007, the Krayolas released a 16-song compilation CD called "Best Riffs Only." The Krayolas recording with the legendary Augie Meyers of the never-released, long lost single by the Sir Douglas Quintet called "Little Fox" is scheduled for release August 18, 2007.
