Since the sockmaster isn't globally banned I felt it was inappropriate to report this sock on meta at this point. Would you still recommend that? I made this report because the sockmaster is blocked on enWP and has on deWP announced his intentions to move his activity here after an impending block there. Either way, it seems he has abandoned this sock. --Sense Amid Madness, Wit Amidst Folly (talk) 11:29, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sense Amid Madness, Wit Amidst Folly The discussion on meta was closed with M&M unlocked to allow discussion and the ultimate decision thrown back to the wikis. I think dewiki has the evidence of continuing sockpuppetry & xwiki activity and has the case for a global lock. His activity here, one edit adding a wikilink to existing text, does not offer any behavioural evidence, nor are any of the previous socks fresh enough for checkuser evidence.
I'll strike my claim of this case as one of my training cases so that it can be taken up by another clerk if they feel differently - but, on the evidence available, I feel this case should be closed, and a global lock pursued from the dewiki evidence. Cabayi (talk) 13:02, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
