Español: Escudo de la República de Costa Rica, descrito y adoptado por medio de las leyes del 27 de noviembre 1906 y 21 de octubre de 1964
desde 5 de mayo de 1998.
En cuanto a las especificaciones de color, en el Diario Oficial del 5 de mayo de 1998 se considera lo siguiente: Además de las especificaciones contenidas en la ley supracitada los colores del Escudo son: el valle: verde claro; los volcanes: verde azul como son las montañas de Costa Rica. Se dibujaron los volcanes humeantes para diferenciarlos. El sol naciente es color oro viejo y las palmas de mirto verde oscuro. Las cinco estrellas que luego cambiaron a siete serán plateadas y el listón azul claro. El mar es color azul. |
