Deutsch: Das rote Kreuz in Silber ist das heraldische Wahrzeichen des Erzbistums und Kurstaates Trier, zu dem Osburg vom Mittelalter bis Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts gehörte. Die Burg erinnert an die ehemalige Burg Osburg, deren Turm in dieser Form heute als Turm der modernen Pfarrkirche erhalten ist. Der Dreiberg mit den Tannen weist auf die landschaftliche Lage von Osburg im Trierer Hochwald hin.
