Русский: «Флаг Господаря Земли Молдавской Штефана Великого, вынесенный 12 сентября 1485 года на церемонии оммажа в Коломые». Флаг реконструирован как «знамя с гербом Земли Молдавской... представляет собой квадратное полотнище красного цвета, в середине которого золотая голова тура прямо, сопровождаемая между рогами пятилучевой звездой, справа — геральдической розой и слева — убывающим полумесяцем, все также золотые». Из законопроекта о внесении дополнений в Закон № 217/2010 о Государственном флаге Республики Молдова, разработанного по инициативе Президента Молдовы Игоря Додона.
19 апреля 2018 года состоялось заседание Национальной комиссии по геральдике, в ходе которого обсуждались различные вопросы, в том числе был одобрен законопроект о внесении дополнений в Закон № 217/2010 о Государственном флаге Республики Молдова. Законопроект предлагал ввести т.н. «вексиллологические знаки со статусом исторического национального символа», т.е. флаги или другие вексиллологические знаки, используемые в историческом прошлом как символы национального суверенитета.
