Rod MacSween is the founder and CEO of International Talent Booking (ITB).[1] He was known for bringing artists such as: The Who, Pink Floyd and Robert Plant’s Band of Joy to the University of Exeter.[1] While studying there, in 1969, he was elected social secretary of the Students Guild.[2]

Biography[edit]

MacSween was born in Southampton, England to parents were both academics.[3]

Recognition[edit]

In 2015, MacSween received a Classic Rock Roll of Honor (VIP) Award.[4][5] In 2019 the academic institution awarded him with an honorary doctorate degree for his contribution to the music world.[6] Other artists he has represented over the years include: Aerosmith, Black Sabbath,[7] Bon Jovi (and KISS),[8] Def Leppard,[5] Guns N' Roses,[9] Lenny Kravitz,[10] Maroon 5,[11] Ozzy Osbourne,[3] Pearl Jam,[12] The Scorpions,[13] Tool[14] and The Who.[15]
