Sigaspis is an extinct monospecific genusofarthrodire placoderm fish from the Early Devonian period. The type species Sigaspis lepidophora was describedbyDaniel Goujet in 1973, and was found on the island of Spitsbergen, SvalbardinNorway.[1]
It is one of the more basal members of the order Arthrodira, as shown in the cladogram below:[2]
