I have always had an interest in new pages patrolling, although always without a formal role (including back before it required a permission). Recently I've also taken an interest in improving articles at risk for deletion or that are incomplete on the new pages field, as well as processing Wikipedia backlogs when I don't feel up to the work of writing prose. I've seen the backlog for new pages reviews, and want to help reduce it. I also have some experience with the Wikipedia guidelines and the AfD/CSD/PROD processes, and have studied the New Pages Patrol tutorial. AlexandraAVX (talk) 13:47, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have some experience with AfC and have read through the reviewing instructions, and I am interested in helping with NPR as well. LittlePuppers (talk) 04:03, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I have a good AfC track record and understand the NPP requirements listed at the link on the blue box. Since my previous request, I have participated in more AfD discussions and have created two new articles, as well as going through @Zippybonzo:'s NPPSCHOOL. — Karnataka talk 18:19, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Three years ago, I was given NPP on probation and used it improperly and without due care, with it rightfully being removed. Since then, I have participated in reviewing AfC drafts and have also gone through NPP school, completing my final assignment (though difficulties have meant I am unable to formally finish it). My participation in other areas of the project such as copyright has also helped me in my knowledge of pertinent guidelines, and I would appreciate, whether under probation or full, if I could be granted NPP again. – Isochrone (T) 14:07, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Was recommended to apply by josh. I've reviewed a few AfCs and participated in a few AfDs—not very many, but a decent track record nontheless. You can view the articles I've created on my userpage, as well as my GA nominations and reviews. Backend, I participate most frequently in RMs and I've closed a number of moves there. Never been blocked or warned and I don't have any COI. :3 F4U (they/it) 16:28, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I feel I've got a pretty good grasp of Wikipedia's policies. User:Hey man im josh had suggested I apply. I already have WP:AFC reviewer rights, and am an autopatrolled user with around 800 articles created (the majority of which are start or better; only ~2 have been deleted). I probably won't be a huge help to the backlog, but I should be able to review at least a decent amount of the articles in the sports category, the area I am most familiar with. You can see my AFD match rate is around 88%. BeanieFan11 (talk) 21:36, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A month and a half ago, I was granted NPR rights, and told to check back here if I wanted it extended beyond a month. However, I forgot, and my NPR rights continued past the month deadline anyway. Do I still need to be formally extended? Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 21:37, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It was suggested that I apply so that I can help with the backlog. User:Hey man im josh left a message on my talk page. I am autopatrolled and have written 100+ articles. I also review articles for DYK and I have promoted 100+ hooks to the main page. I read and understood the NPP tutorial and I would like to help with growing backlog. I was invited about a month ago to become a new page reviewer by Zippybonzo. Since then I have carefully studied the NPP tutorial. I enjoy recent changes patrolling and in doing that I gravitate toward new pages. Oftentimes, I tag them for speedy deletion. I have some experience with other deletion processes as well, including MfD and DRV. I am sensitive to COI and paid editing and copyright violations. I am interested in recognizing and dealing with "AI-generated" content. I approach all new users courteously. I have submitted a few articles through AfC. My content work is dispersed over a wide range of topics and I prefer improving existing articles to creating new ones. I could be more productive with new pages if I had this user right. —Alalch E. 00:55, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was invited here by Hey Man I'm Josh. I have experience in AfC and wish to help out on the growing backlog. Ca talk to me! 12:16, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am a current trial new page reviewer, with the right expiring soon. As mentioned in my first request, I am experienced at AfD and in the CSD processes. I have patrolled many pages and I believe there has not been any issues with my patrolling. I will continue with my new page reviewing if granted the right, and will do my best to help with the backlogs. Thank you :) ULPS (talk • contribs) 18:57, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've been an active AFC reviewer since October 2022 and already perform NPP-adjacent tasks that do not require the user-right (primarily CSD and moving to draftspace), and I wish to help reduce the NPP backlog. I have a bit of article-writing experience with a single GA/DYK. – dudhhr talk contribs 03:00, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've been a new page patroller on a trial-basis for just under 30 days, and am seeking to make them permanent. I think that my run has been pretty successful, as I’ve processed approximately 80ish [3]. However, my AFD stats aren't amazing. This might be because my general process involves identifying a potentially deletable page, then working hard to find a merge option, noting it as an alternative. I do this because I hate to waste content, information, or other people's hard work. One particular success was my Arthur Ryerson AFD, resulting in a merge to his wife's page, something Liz [4] noted as probably a first for her.
I've started to become more active in AFD and will probably stay moderately active. I'd like to continue being a new page patroller where I suspect I'll be able to continue helping with the huge backlog, mostly for academic-related things as that's the area I have content knowledge.Mason (talk) 03:21, 18 August 2023 (UTC) Mason (talk) 03:21, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am requesting this permission due to my observation that the Wikipedia space hasn't focused more and more on African history new pages on African-related topics are usually abandoned and just deleted there arent appropriate measures taken to go through and look for viable solutions. As a participant in the wikibiography project, I have taken it upon myself to generate articles and ensure that Wikipedia entries related to Africa and the global context are meticulously crafted. My goal is to adhere to Wikipedia's stringent criteria for notability and neutrality, maintaining the high standards that the platform demands.. Digitalageohio (talk) 11:52, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think I have a decent AFD record which demonstrates my notability understanding. The more I edit pages, the more I feel there is a lot to explore and improve. I am a good learner so I am applying here, I guess, I can help. 🙂 Lordofhunter (talk) 15:07, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
