Sulat, officially the Municipality of Sulat (Waray: Bungto han Sulat; Tagalog: Bayan ng Sulat), is a 4th class municipality in the provinceofEastern Samar, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 15,758 people.[3]
Sulat is politically subdivided into 18 barangays. [5] Each barangay consists of puroks and some have sitios.
