I have no time to do this, but someone should update this entry and explain that the monastery has been damaged by the earthquake on August 24, 2016. someone noted that the building was destroyed on Oct 26, 2016, but the article still reads as though it survived. the photos in the newspaper portray total devastation and likely the article should be revised entirely to reflect this. (btw: an authentic reconstruction sounds like a good project for a generation of monks; at least that is a positive.)Tim Warner (talk) 16:15, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
