Permanently protected template

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Redirected from Template:PH census)

This template requires the first unnamed parameter, which is:

{{PH census|yyyy}}
where yyyy is the required year (any census year, 1903–2020)
or
{{PH census|current}}
which returns the reference for the latest census data. Thus, new census data does not need to be updated manually on pages.
NB current can be used only on a page whose Wikidata entry includes a population statement, complete with qualifier P585 (point-in-time). The template returns the Wikidata information for the supplied year.
Examples:
  • {{PH census|2010}} produces [1]
  • {{PH census|current}} produces [2]

An optional named parameter can be used to specify the region instead of the default, for instance, when the generic reference is needed instead of the region-specific one.

For all Philippine places, the PSGC is included on Wikidata. Therefore, the correct region section is the first two digits of the PSGC code.
PSGC = rrppmmbbb, e.g. 072228003 –
rr region = 07 (Central Visayas),
pp province = 22 (Cebu),
mm municipality / city = 28 (Madridejos),
bbb barangay = 003 (Kaongkod).
  • 02 for Cagayan Valley (Region II)
  • 03 for Central Luzon (Region III)
  • 04 for Calabarzon (Region IV-A)
  • 05 for the Bicol Region (Region V)
  • 06 for Western Visayas (Region VI)
  • 07 for Central Visayas (Region VII)
  • 08 for Eastern Visayas (Region VIII)
  • 09 for Zamboanga Peninsula (Region IX)
  • 10 for Northern Mindanao (Region X)
  • 11 for the Davao Region (Region XI)
  • 12 for Soccsksargen (Region XII)
  • 13 for the National Capital Region (NCR)
  • 14 for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
  • 15 for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)
  • 16 for the Caraga Administrative Region (Caraga)
  • 17 for the Southwestern Tagalog Region (Mimaropa)
