Transversotrematidae is a familyoftrematodes in the orderPlagiorchiida. It is the only family in the superfamilyTransversotrematoidea, which is the only superfmaily in the suborderTransversotremata. It has been synonymised with Circuitiocoeliidae Wang, 1981,[2] Squamacolidae Pan & Wang, 1985,[3] and Transversotrematinae Witenberg, 1944.[1]
