This page holds the list of articles currently been reviewed to decide if they can be improved or sent for deletion. This is to clear out the backlog of subs and separate the advertisements and non-notable ones from those that are seeds that an article can be grown from. We have a weekly list of around 20 articles generated with the CatScan tool. For each article, we aim to flag as good those stubs that can be improved, blatantly useless those that can be speedily deleted, and the less clear-cut ones can be sent to AfD for a broader community view.
Please read the articles and search for sources, then add a comment saying what you have found, including any sources (please add these to the article too!) and with a recommendation (Speedy/Improve/AfD). In the case of 'speedies' please tag the article, too. This is not a vote, so please look at ones that have not been reviewed first.
At the end of the week (Wednesday), we tie it off by tidying up the 'improves,' nominating the 'AfDs,' and checking in on the 'speedies.'
Neutral Lots of google hits, but mainly passing mentions like "so and so was certified to teach self-defense by NWMAF". Astudent0 (talk) 16:31, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD The only claim to notability is founding a style and I can't find reliable sources to show that style is notable. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD No sources to back up claims. Three time European grand champion is a possible claim to notability, but it's unsourced and doesn't say of what organization or event. Astudent0 (talk) 16:31, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep The article could use a complete rewrite and some more independent sources, but the supported claim of being adopted as a UK police standard is sufficient for me. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Weak AfD Article doesn't really show notability, but the 2 books referenced may support the claim that many Wing Chun practictioners descend from him. Could use input from a Wing Chun expert. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD Unsourced BLP. His work and books may or may not be notable, but without sources the article shows no reason to keep. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD Another unsourced BLP. Even with sources I don't see the notability. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD Does claim he's won a world championship, but no sources and I haven't heard of the organization. Astudent0 (talk) 16:31, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD Another BLP that is basically unsourced. Claims like he taught many grandmasters of various styles really need references. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
clearly non-notable as a martial artist No sources to support any martial arts claim. Can't comment on notability as a comic artist. Papaursa (talk) 21:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Weak AfD Winner of a single international medal (1986 Asian games). I don't think that's quite enough, but others have disagreed. Papaursa (talk) 23:20, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
