If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.
If this is your first article and you want your draft article moved to the mainspace, please submit it for review at Articles for creation, by adding the code {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draftoruser sandbox page instead of listing it here.
Because you are autoconfirmed, you can move most pages yourself. Do not request technical assistance on this page if you can do it yourself.
If you need help determining whether it's okay to move the page to a different title, then please follow the instructions at the top of Wikipedia:Requested moves.
To list a technical request: edit the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:
{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.
Also simply oppose. There are tactics, techniques and procedures involved in many activities. That's not what the article is about. — BarrelProof (talk) 14:42, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
TTPs is a term in security studies applied to a broader range of attackers than terrorists. See APTs comment. Work has already begun on the article to expand the scope (should the request wait until satisfactorily expanded?). Tule-hog (talk) 20:39, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are also non-attacking and non-security scenarios that involve tactics, techniques, and procedures. For example, political campaigns have tactics, techniques, and procedures. Nursing involves tactics, techniques, and procedures. Something is needed to identify a context. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:14, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
From what I've gathered, this is an acronym used specifically in security studies. Only references to the phrase TTP for nursing and politics I could find were in a military context. Tule-hog (talk) 02:34, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Common name still appears to be the page name per the official website and most sources. I suggest starting a requested move discussion. CFA💬16:39, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The move was in 2021, and three days after the article was created, so not an automatic move. Sources seem to be a bit mixed as to whether they treat "Pakistan Navy" as part of the title, so might be worth a discussion. Some also don't capitalise, e.g. Pakistan Navy coastal command. — Amakuru (talk) 08:45, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There already is, at Talk:Honeysuckle#redirect, I also asked WP:PLANTS for comment before it was brought here. I might have jumped the gun a little on this request based on the first couple comments, I was under the impression that it was uncontested, but after further comments, it appears these may be in the order they are on purpose. I have no issues if this is denied, I was only trying to help an IP editor with their request (that made sense to me also). - Adolphus79 (talk) 22:17, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to contest this one. While it would be consistent with many other plant genus at their scientific name rather than common names, this common name is well known among the public. It is almost as popular a common name as Tulip, another genus at its common name rather than at genus Tulipa. Evidence of popularity Google Ngram. 🌿MtBotany (talk) 21:15, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Edit this section only if your request requires an administrator. Usually, do so if the page has been fully protectedormove protected (see this guide to which moves need administrators). Place your request in another section if it only requires a page mover.
