沿革
2014年10月21日、ジェームズ・ワンが﹁アトミック・モンスター﹂を設立し、ニュー・ライン・シネマとワーナー・ブラザース・ピクチャーズとのファーストルック契約を締結したと発表された[5][2]。
2016年8月12日、同社は中国企業のスターライト・メディアと開発契約を結び、製作費1億ドルまでの映画への出資を受けることが報じられた[6]。
2022年11月16日、ブラムハウス・プロダクションズが結んでいるユニバーサル・ピクチャーズとのファーストルック契約を共有する形で、両社の合併に向けて交渉中であることが報じられた。両社は今後も別々のレーベルとして運営され、それぞれのクリエイティブな自主性とブランド・アイデンティティは維持される。同社は、ブラムハウスが持つシステムを活用し、映画やテレビ、さらにホラー関連のビデオゲーム、ライブエンターテインメント、オーディオといった新たなコンテンツにも拡大する[7][8][9][10][11]。
2024年1月2日、ブラムハウスとの合併を正式に発表した[12][13]。
