High Dynamic Range Image Examples
The following examples were used to compare the following High Dynamic
Range Image formats: OpenEXR, Radiance RGBE and XYZE, 24-bit and 32-bit
LogLuv TIFF, 48-bit scRGB, and 36-bit scRGB-nl and scYCC-nl.
For details on our comparison methodology, go to the
referring page.
Clicking on any of the small images will take you to a larger one.
Clicking on the image name itself will take you to a high dynamic range
version in Radiance RGBE format.
(You should probably only control-click on those links, as most browsers
do not know how to deal with HDR formatted images at this point.)
Links are also provided under each image to the corresponding comparison
page, where the image has been encoded in the above-mentioned formats,
and we have conducted an error analysis of the results.
