Plantation Archaeology Walking Tour
MARCH through NOVEMBER - Learn how we use archaeology to unearth Monticello’s past, including Indigenous histories, slavery, and changes to the land. Tour Length: 90 min.
Women at Monticello Tour
JUNE - OCT: This one-hour guided tour focuses on the experiences of women, both enslaved and free, who lived and labored at Monticello.
Private Guide Tour
Have the ultimate Monticello insider’s experience on a tour tailored exclusively to your interests. Includes guided access to galleries, grounds, and all three floors of the house. Tour Length: Up to 3.5 hours

Slavery at Monticello Tour
Guided outdoor tours of Mulberry Row focus on the experiences of the enslaved people who lived and labored on the Monticello plantation. Tour Length: 45 min.

Gardens and Grounds Tour
Seasonal guided outdoor tours of the flower, vegetable, and fruit gardens focus on Jefferson’s lifelong interest in gardening and the enslaved people who turned his ideas into reality. Tour Length: 45 min.
