The "Persian Corridor" is flipped today. Back then, it was for the Allies to supply the Soviets. Today, it's for the Russians to access the Arabian Sea and sell their oil to India, via Iran
Given how the next Iranian government will probably need all the money they can get, what they should do is give the Kremlin the same access, but w/ conditions. Namely the Russians won't provide any refuge for the islamic regime figures trying to flee there, and also, the Russians won't take any of the stolen Iranian

You're assuming that Putin cares more for Khamenei than he does about Russian interests. He may not care so much about the Russian people, but he doesn't want Russia to be cut off from the Indian Ocean, when it is needed to trade w/ one of his biggest trading partners India
