Nick is Sky’s people and politics correspondent and is interested in how decisions made by politicians affect the lives of people in Britain.
In a career that has spanned 30 years, he’s reported from around the world on some of the biggest global stories. He was embedded with British troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan and more recently reported from inside Ukraine.
Nick has made documentaries on a wide range of issues from Mexico’s drug cartels, domestic and international terrorism and the threat posed by plastics in the oceans.
More recently, he has investigated Britain’s social care crisis, why so many children are missing from education and the rising cost of living.
In 2021, he was named RTS Specialist Journalist of the Year for his reporting of the COVID-19 pandemic, in which judges said he “brought to life the human dramas of care home residents and their relatives while holding politicians to account".
