Mmmmm, you may want to check if you had your pills this morning. You are high on internet rethoric. Take a one month sabbatical. No social media. Only talk to real people.

Hi there. The one I am in is ok. ACV. Well no it sucks, as my income is not even close to 100k. Government recently cut drastically in our pension. Their reaction was more or less symbolic. So not the monster you are terrified of.

Can't you form your own union? If there is only one and it sucks, it is a highway to succes.

Yes, woke activists are taking over and destroying everything. I know honey. Yes it is bad. By the way, did you take your medication this morning? No? No that is ok. You can still take it. No these pills are approved by Trump. We would not want you to become woke now would we. Open up. All in a day's work.

I had a laptop that was underway to me. My wife urgently needed it for her job as the old one died. There was some confusion about when it would be delivered, so I called their helpdesk. It would arrive the same day. Guy on the phone did warn me though. Apparently I made a typing error in the address. He told me that the driver could refuse to deliver it if the address was not entirely correct. It would be sent back to the seller. Driver decided to deliver it at our doorstep though. This could explain why it arrived pretty close to your door, but was shipped back.

Yup, and all that to pinch of a few $ from our bills. It is not worth it. Give these guys a break.

So... they should group with the other states. They will probably get a discount on the subscription fee then.

When someone divorces from a narcissistic partner, that partner will shout that the other will perish without him/her.
In fact, after a bit of struggling, the opposite happens. Bye bye.

Teacher here... rule with cold hard facts is a beginner's mistake. So is being too empathic. When dealing with lots of people, things easily become complicated. Simple binary thinking is just not adequate. That is why in social sciences, there are only pros and cons. Very uncomfortable for some people. A process of acceptance may be needed. Cheers!

One day one of the tech giants will win the race but will realize that no-one was watching. Keep it real. The world is more than tech.

Indeed! Offshore those datacenters! I think there is some room in China?
We did this with industry. Do we do this again with datacenters? Tough choice...

I had the honour of having to pick a language to teach the kids in our high school. Python was an obvious choice. In fact, it was the only option if you took everything in consideration.
It is taught at university. Most popular languages in a lot of indexes. Wanted skill in jobs listings, ...
I do not like the language though. I notice kids struggling with how a processor handles code. In times of AI, a lot of beginners see a programming language as chat gpt input.
If a and b and c > 0:
is a common mistake.
I wonder if a simpler language like ordinary basic would be easier to learn. Let me clarify. It would be more difficult to write a working program, but it would be easier to understand how a computer works.
My colleague argues that kids do not need to know how a computer works. That is a good point, but I believe it hampers them in understanding of what they are doing. Any thoughts on this? (Take into account that more than half of the students will never become professional programmers. The mindset these kids have is different from the average slashdotter.)
