The earliest known cases and their distribution are all the information we have to go by for establishing the geographical origins of COVID-19 in humans. Given that the distribution of the early cases is consistent with the geographical location of the wet market and not consistent with the geographical location of the viral research center, the available evidence indicates that the wet market was the likeliest source of the initial transmission to humans.

A list of carefully laid out "facts" where the very first falsifiable claim, that the research center is 0.5 km away from the market, can be demonstrated to be false with a brief look at a map.
For an actual well-researched and well-documented examination of the origins of COVID-19, see this article on science.org: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abp8715

The science here isn't in figuring out how to design structurally stable tunnels, it's in figuring out how to build them without needing to design them. The main feature of interest here is the instruction set that is simple enough for an ant to execute that produces a stable tunnel without a team of surveyors, designers, and engineers to guide it. It may be of very limited use given that the physics of structural stability work differently in the same materials at different scales, but it may provide some key insights for making better instruction sets for semi-autonomous bot swarms.

You seem to be operating under two very mistaken impressions: 1) that the giant corporations that generate most of the country's agricultural output care more about politics than making a profit and 2) that food is not perfectly fungible. Decrease the agricultural output of flyover country, and Mexico will be more than happy to fill in the gap.

It still would not be any of Apple's business. Apple's mission is to design goods for consumers and generate profits for shareholders, not to police its entire supply chain for moral and ethical behavior.

Why though? Why should the complience of another company to a foreign country's laws be any concern of Apple's in the first place?

Or, better yet, give the option to stop writing logs altogether. In a car, logs are a nice-to-have feature, not a must-have.

Makes sense that advertisers wouldn't want their product associated with discussions of the virus, though. And that's where the money comes from.
