You are correct and there are already many other alternatives to Streameast.
The root cause is, like usual, greed. Players want more money, owners want more money... where does that come from? TV rights being sold for even high prices to streaming services.

I see far too many people in MODERN CARS EQUIPPED WITH CARPLAY AND ANDROID AUTO with the driver holding their phone, looking at the screen. Sometimes it's in their laps!
I cannot understand how Instagram or whatever became more important that looking at the road. I wish I had a EMP gun to shoot at these fools.

I spent over an hour with telco tech support trying to replace a device that wouldn't boot (it was totally dead) and I finally had to turn on 'jerk mode' to simply get a replacement device.
