This is too much. A president who is known to be illiterate is trying to reshape academia. The universities should be rejecting this with every fiber of their being.
And all this complaining about how university faculties are overwhelmingly left-wing: this is the stupidest complaint imaginable. If the right-wingnuts want more "conservatives" in academia, they should produce people who are actually academically competent. Their complaints about left-wing bias are highlighting the fact that they haven't the intellectual power to make it in the ivory tower.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump wasn't a plot by Putin and Xi to destroy the USA without a military attack.
Actually, there is some evidence that the Russians have been grooming Donald for years. However, nothing has been proved. Still, if that were true it would explain a lot of otherwise inexplicable things.

J. L. Tympanum writes: I keep getting popups on my peecee saying "Microsoft phone link has stopped working."
1. What is this thing, and why do I care if it has stopped working?
2. After some surfing I find out it is some code (no doubt badly written and full of bugs and security holes) that connects the peecee to my phone.
3. I neither asked for this feature nor do I want it.
4. A little more surfing and I find out how to disable "phone link".
5. I still keep getting this damn popup. Obviously, whatever is detecting that "phone link" is not working doesn't bother to determine if the user (i.e., me) WANTS it to be not working.
6. After I lot more surfing I still don't know how to suppress this damn popup.
7. MS needs to be suppressed.
