Attached to: Reddit Will Exempt Accessibility-Focused Apps From Its Unpopular API Pricing Changes
Reddit can't be bothered adding accessibility to their app, so they're letting other people do their work for them... but they're not allowed to make money off it... riiiiight. Seems totally fair.

Shouldn't it be a case of "Innovate faster than China" rather than slowing them? Isn't this just bad for everyone?

Wondering who the good TV manufacturers are these days that don't do this? I have a 14 year old dumb TV from Samsung that was the best for price/performance for the time. No idea who to go with now.
Funny thing is, I probably would have bought and LG as my next TV.

Does this cross the line from hacking to becoming sexual assault? Would the company be liable for not properly securing the device FROM sexual assault?

That's been the law in Australia for as long as I mobile phones have been a thing. It's actually not legal to use your phone to pay for food through a drive through either (I've never heard of that being enforced).
Yes I have been fined for it also, dialed my mother while at stop lights onto the hands free system in the car. The fine is about double that of minor speeding (which was frustrating coz the cop said he was going to let me off with a warning).

Is this that different for the case they lost in Australia about displaying news. Bullshit case anyway, but will be interesting to see if it could have flow on effects.

Back before the big price crash of laptops in 2001/2002, I remember Toshiba was pretty much the only brand of laptop you'd look at. I fondly remember buying mine 6 months before the price of laptops halved.

I wonder what the C rating is on these. Some LiPo's are crazy (yes, I know they're over quoted, but I've seen a 4 cell 1500mAH battery jump start a car). Five times the density could be nice for FPV drones (which typically only get 3-5 mins flight time).

Given the general incompetence of our government implementing such things, nothing will change. Just set your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and everything will be fine.

If it's anything like our piracy filter, it'll just be at the DNS level that ISP's run. So if you're on 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 or the like, you'll be fine.

Think of it this way. Imagine 50 of your libraries have ads (may not be direct dependencies, but dependencies of dependencies), now you are having issues building on your CI server. Imagine going through those log files trying to work out what's going wrong.

We (Australia) have an election coming up in the next couple of months where the current outlook is that the Liberal government (who are our conservative party) are going to get annihilated. I find the timing of this VERY interesting.

How would using an iPhone Xs Max fill that role? Seems to me like that is the replacement these days.
