Great, put the whole country on the Dole. That will work perfectly until the resulting inflation reduces it and everyone's savings to nothing.

You appear to be very uninformed about the rest of the world. There are many nuclear plants all over Europe and Asia, with more under construction and they are certainly not uneconomical. Some of the biggest players are the US Westinghouse and GE Hitachi.

Slovakia generates about 80% nuclear and 20% hydropower. There are two ancient small coal stations in the east that are due to shut down and the retail rate of electricity is 20c per kWh, whereas Austria with no nukes, pays 38c per kWh. So don't tell me nuclear is uneconomical.

It appears that the earth's orbital mechanics and tectonics is too big to fit into some people's imagination, so they just ignore it all.

It used selectively chosen recent numbers and ignored all the previous 4.5 billion years of inconvenient geological history.

Of course global warming is real. We are in the Quaternary ice age and once Greenland and Antarctica melted, the whole earth will be tropical like during the Miocene warm period. However, a few billion years ago, before coal was formed, there was ten times more CO2 in the air and the temperature was much the same as today. That is the real inconvenient truth.

The problem with Gore's movie is that it is restricted to the last few million years of the Quaternary ice age, and completely ignores the previous 4.5 billion years, which show much bigger oscillations in the earth climate. So yes the movie is mostly correct, if you ignore most of the geological data, which was too inconvenient for him.
