The reason this is tied to only AI with hiring instead of all of AI and our personal data is because the law states for lending or hiring purposes.
We would need strong personal privacy laws and that is never going to happen in the USA.

There used to be laws capping the interest rates credit cards could charge. anything higher was considered loan shark rates.
Now when it is brought up again they make it sound like something new and they would never survive without 20%+ interest rates.

Half way down someone on the 25th floor shoots a gun out the window and hits the person killing them instantly.
Can the person shooting the gun be charged with murder or manslaughter?
So even if the kid would have killed them selfies 10 min later on their own, because they AI guided him in killing himself "early" then it is on the AI.

So you stated the fix.
We need to create a law that if your chat bot discusses and does not only give you the answer that says "talk to your parents, suicide hotline #, 911, etc" than they are criminally liable in court.

If h1b visa holders add to the supply the demand side (our pay rate) stays the same or goes lower.

No. They made a business decision based on the product, the contract, and the normal business of those contracts.
Then VMWare decided they were not making enough money so changed 2 of those decision making items.
