Those prices are for Gigabit plans. Altice offers a 300MBPS plan at $35/month, and Fios offers the same for $40.
You can't currently sign up for a 100MBPS plan with Altice, but if you are an existing customer at that speed, you'll pay around $80 or more, and an extra $20 to move up to 300MBPS.

I think you may have replied to the wrong post. No mention of repressing ideas, popular or otherwise, can be inferred from the post you replied to.
Unless somehow you think failing to promote popularity for the sake of popularity is a form of repression. (In which case you are either repressing me, or doing a really really poor job of promoting my popularity.)

It's a great idea, because no bad person or idea has ever become popular.

Linux's itself lacks a proper user interface beyond the command line.
Is this a joke???
Try downloading multiple files from a website to a new subfolder in Windows vs. Ubuntu. (A good example would be Google Vault search results, but I'm sure there are other use cases.) The UI in the default Ubuntu desktop is much easier, much more intuitive, fewer mouse clicks, and better in every imaginable way.
I gave my daughter an Ubuntu laptop about 10 years ago. She used it daily for whatever 12 year olds use a computer for. The only thing she ever asked for help with was installing fonts. The difficult user interface myth is a lie.

From Wikipedia: Project Veritas is an American far-right[14] activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010.[19] The group uses undercover techniques to reveal supposed liberal bias and corruption[15] and is known for producing deceptively edited videos about media organizations, left-leaning groups,[27] and debunked conspiracy theories.
Do you have any information from sources which are not proven liars?

Attached to: What It's Like To Get Locked Out of Google Indefinitely
Being a paying customer of Google is not as big of an improvement as you think.
I work for a small company with under 1000 GSuite Enterprise licensed accounts. One of these accounts was suspended without warning a few months ago. Google support, when contacted, said the suspension is the warning, since the account could still be reactivated.
This was one of our main customer service mailboxes, which handles sending and receiving hundreds of customer inquiries daily.
Google support also claimed that it was due to a high number of messages from the account reported as spam. There is no built in admin tool (or API) for viewing how many messages are reported as spam, but they did offer access to an additional reporting tool. We set this up hoping to see the actual number of spam reports so we could monitor. The reports showed the count of reported spam from that email address over the previous 6 months was zero.
We still have no idea why the account was suspended.

that no collusion took place. Whatever foreign interference there was was done for both sides.
What an interesting non-sequitur. It is entirely possible for interference to be done for both sides and for there still to be collusion. In fact, there could be collusion without any interference taking place. And there can be interference without any collusion. Having interference for both sides doesn't erase the collusion for one or either.

Attached to: How Often Is Everyone Washing Their Masks?
This is one third of a comment containing one quarter of an idea. What study has shown that masks aren't effective at doing what?
More than likely there is a study somewhere showing that masks are not effective at stopping termite infestations, but that isn't really relevant here.
Of course, there are no definitive studies on much of anything related to coronavirus, but some studies show masks are at least moderately effective. And as incidental evidence, mask wearing regions have had greater success in controlling infection rates than non-mask wearing regions.

Despite this, blacks are still less likely to be shot and/or killed.
I don't know where you get your "facts" from but the statistics cited in this article show that blacks are about twice as likely to be killed by police.
When the rate at which blacks are killed by police is greater than the homicide rate, as is currently the case in 8 US cities, the police are doing their job wrong.

Argument from authority is a especially weak form of argument when the authority you are citing is not an authority in the topic you are citing them for.

Right. Those warehouse workers are so very far above the poverty line that not having that warehouse job really puts their health at risk.

Attached to: I personally know someone who caught COVID-19 and (pick the most serious):
The actual number was 99%. https://www.bloomberg.com/news....
Of those, 75% had two or more pre-existing medical conditions.
Among those who died, 75% of them had hypertension (high blood pressure) as one of their conditions. Given that number, it stands to reason that there were a large number for whom high blood pressure was the ONLY pre-existing condition.
There's a link to the actual study in the article, not pay-walled, and worth plugging the raw data into google translate for anyone interested.
