That figure of 55,000 people is supplied by Hamas. It includes Hamas fighters, natural deaths, and civilians killed (intentionally or not) by Hamas' own fire. Saying that these are all innocent people killed by Israel is a blood libel.
Furthermore, Hamas have publicly stated that more people were born in Gaza than died during the war; according to a back of the envelope calculation, that means that the population of Gaza has in fact grown since the war began. This event qualifies as the first genocide in history where the population is growing. A miracle!

Telling an AI it cannot be trained on a book's contents is tantamount to telling an aspiring author not to read a certain book to prevent the risk of that author imitating the book's style or content in his or her own future writings. By this logic the Tolkien Estate should sue George R. R. Martin, because it is certain that the latter drew inspiration (for profit!) from the works of the former.

Stop talking about "both sides". There is an aggressor and a defender here, there is no symmetry. If Lebanese citizens are displaced it's Lebanon's fucking fault because they instigated the attacks and they can't complain. When I say "significant Israeli retaliation" I mean turning South Lebanon into a "no man's land" buffer zone and this hasn't happened as it's swarming with Hezbollah operatives (hopefully many of which are now blind, maimed or both).

What planet are you from? Hezbollah has been shelling Israel with rockets and UAVs on a daily basis since October 8th 2024. Tens of thousands of Israelis have been displaced from their homes and are currently refugees. Until today there has been no major Israeli retaliation for these attacks, even though each of them was a casus belli, an unprovoked attack originating from a neighboring sovereign country. Israel can't be expected to sit idly and turn the other cheek forever, stop trying to turn this into some petty political game.

Someone claimed that there have been "decades of bulldozing Palestinian homes to build Israeli ones" and I responded that no, this has never happened and can someone please show me a documented case where it has. You joined the thread. Do you have a documented case of the above? If yes, show it. If no, then you have nothing to add here.
Before you accuse me of pedantry again, I claim there is a huge moral and ethical difference between building a town on an empty hill, and building it on the smoking ruins of a destroyed village, and you (the plural you) are accusing Israel of the latter.
Whether Israel has the right to build a town on a hill according to the Geneva convention is a valid debate but way beyond the scope of this thread. Accusing Israel of building houses where it shouldn't is valid criticism. Accusing Israel of destroying other peoples' houses to build its own is blood libel.

Link 1 refers to villages depopulated in the 1948 war. In the 1948 war Israel did not conquer East Jerusalem, therefore this article does not apply here.
Link 2 refers to a legal dispute involving a single house in the Sheikh Jarrakh neighborhood of East Jerusalem. To this day this house remains populated by Arabs who are allegedly squatters on Jewish property (and this is what the court has been discussing all these years). Nothing was demolished and no one was evicted.

This story specifically deconstructs the "40 beheaded babies" allegation, it does not address anything else. I did not make this allegation. I said butchered and raped and there are hours of video footage documenting these. I will not supply you with this video documentation. If your logical conclusion to this is that this footage does not exist then don't bother replying to me.
The intent of my message was to counter the preposterous claim that "As per those borders Hamas on Oct 7 did not even enter Israel" made by "ghoul" above me. Don't change the subject.
