"These are the people that turned every installment payment to his lawyer into a literal felony,"
No, Trump's felony conviction is from state charges.

"Had there been anything in those files implicating Trump, the Dems would have pulled it out and used it to sink his candidacy. "
No, because as you already noted it's improper to release information about unindicted co-conspirators.

"We're supposed to just take them at their word that this is unrelated to the white collar job cuts."
The truth is even worse. They're cutting the jobs just to pay for the GPUs... they don't even have the AI to replace the workers yet.

"The real threat here is that AI will get good enough that producers, directors and writers can work together to achieve their artistic vision without actors. "
The real threat is that it won't get good enough, but they'll do it anyway.

"why are we so willing to enter into dependency on software, clouds, and suppliers?"
Because it is irrational to think you can build the entire world single-handedly.
Even if it were feasible, in many cases it would be pointless. What value could you derive from e.g. a slashdot but just for you?

"we can already see others calendars that are in our environment and select a time."
-1, assumes all participants have overlapping free time during business hours.
People with actual decision to get made need to figure out which other meetings they can reasonably claim priority over and who could be convinced to wake up at 6 am.

"2) When the other people leave my positon here is more secure."
When small numbers of other people leave your position is more secure. If large numbers of other people leave your position is *less* secure.

"That not seem like an overly harsh sentence to you? "
That's the maximum a person could possibly get under the worst sentencing modifiers that could be theoretically applied. *He hasn't even been tried yet, let alone sentenced*, so we don't know what if anything applies.

"What else should you buy in a multi-year contract"
By definition: If you can derive benefit over the financing period that exceeds whatever else you could have done with the cost of financing, you finance it. That's pretty basic. You yourself acknowledge that in your second paragraph.

Attached to: AI Company Eightfold Sued For Helping Companies Secretly Score Job Seekers
"It seems odd that the onus is on the third-party platform"
The key problem seems to be the aggregation from multiple sources, not just processing the data given by one client and providing the results back to that client. Since it is the third party that does the aggregation, that's where the liability lies.
The client companies only dealt with one source, so all they can do is point to that one source.

AI generated crap is cheaper to produce than bespoke artisanal crap. The point is you should be able to realize a better gain from the AI crap even though it is still crap, but there are few if any examples..
