And I took time out of my day running the Chinese government just a comment on slash Dot.
Also can you tell your buddy Donald Trump to stop fucking kids? I need to make a trade deal with them but he's just so busy being a pedophile. I mean 30 credible rape accusations eight of which involved children and now we find out from the Epstein files that he was just selling underaged girls. I mean we already knew he was doing it but we've got it in writing now

The goal here is to create a post capitalist society without socialism. What the cool kids called techno feudalism.
AI replaces the paying of wages. Instead of employees and consumers the 3,000 billionaires on the planet will have machines and a tiny handful of engineers to keep them working. Also a tiny handful of thugs to keep the engineers in line.
Everyone else including you will live in the kind of abject poverty previously associated with the worst of the American native American reservations before the casinos. Every now and then if you start to develop a civilization on your own they will send drones to slaughter you similar to what they did to Black Wall Street as it was called.
I don't know if they will actually succeed but that is absolutely the plan.
The ruling class doesn't like capitalism. Just because they benefit from it doesn't mean they enjoy it. They absolutely despise being dependent on filthy worms like us for their power and prestige. And for the first time in human history they have a way to be almost completely free of us.
I think the hard part is it's very hard for people to wrap their heads around the idea that someone who benefited so much from capitalism would destroy it.

A lot of people have lost their shirts. Meanwhile with Trump as president there's basically no money laundering laws being enforced. So why bother going to the trouble of using crypto to launder your money? And at the end of the day money laundering is the killer app for cryptocurrency.

Microsoft basic was stolen code fished out of school trash cans.
Are we seeing this nonsense because he's in the Epstein files? I imagine his PR firm is working overtime right now.

Is that the oil Barrons can't slow down the transition. I don't think it'll make a huge difference because it's just a different group of billionaires but it's looking like those oil men are going to get squeezed out of the upper echelons of the ruling class. Still firmly in the ruling class but they're going to basically lose control of energy production.
They figured out a long time ago that renewables were going to dominate especially in America where we have so much land we can just keep putting them up, but what they were trying to do is stop the development of renewables until they could be the ones that owned everything.
They will still have a lot of stakeholding but it won't be all theirs. It is pretty stupid that we as a country aren't just building the stuff out as regular infrastructure like roads. Power plants that just sit there and generate power really should just be built and managed by the government just like roads

We can't get everyone in the country to agree that hungry children should be fed. We are not going to be able to slow global warming.
To tackle the kind of problems we're facing we would need fundamental changes and I just don't see any of that happening before the problems basically wreck civilization.
The billionaires know global warming is a problem and they're building bunkers and buying up water rights. They are literally preparing for the crisis they caused and could effortlessly stop.

You're not going to get Justice against the ruling class. It's just how that works. You don't spill the blood of Kings.
The hard part with being American is that our ruling class figured out a while ago that taking the formal mantle of ruling class paints a nice big Target on them. So instead they called themselves billionaires or CEOs or philanthropists or whatever and a large percentage of the population ignores the fact that there are people who are above the law.
About the only thing we are going to get out of the Epstein files is some of the worst of the legislation that the ruling class would have rammed through in this first two years is going to get hamstrung by it and by the committee hearings wasting time.
Nobody is ever going to get brought to Justice because the people involved are above the law and a large percentage of the population is uncomfortable with changing that.

Also was that a weird dig against young people or a failed attempt to sound hip? Legitimately I cannot tell.

Remember the right wing is impervious to hypocrisy. They simply do not experience the combined emotions of shame and self-awareness that are associated with it.
Meanwhile Donald Trump continues to be the best investment Russia ever made. Did you hear we are funding insurgents in canada? That is a real sentence that I wrote that has real meaning and isn't just a shitpost.

Because a lot of people just treated his background noise. So you can get away with that.
I'm not going to play your slop AI game because it's going to play like crap.
Super meat boy had years of tweaking to the physics to make the game fun. It was done manually by human beings no AI can do that because it's way too subjective.
Now that said you could probably use AI to crap out of call of duty sequel every year. Or more fortnite expansions. But the core gameplay needs to already be there and tweaked.

But you haven't heard of first pass to post winner take all voting?
Did it ever across your mind to just Google the question why do we have a two-party system?
Both sides bad is bullshit pushed by the right wing to make the country more extremist.
The problem here is because we have winner take all voting you are inevitably going to get a two-party system. Because anytime any of the major coalitions that make up the two parties tries to break off all they do is lose every election for themselves and everyone involved.
Go fix that with something like ranked choice voting and while you're at it for fucks sakes do something about voter suppression.

I don't think that can be stopped. Voice acting is just not something we're going to have anymore it's going to be done by computers. It's going to suck really hard for a while too because it's going to sound terrible without a person doing the voices.
But if it's one thing life has taught me, good enough is always good enough.

Crazy people do things that hurt them. We elected a known pedophile twice on the off chance that he might lower the price of eggs. I don't understand why the world hasn't realized how insane and dangerous America is. It's way past being trusted we need help

The problem is AI isn't working for cancer it's looking for whatever pattern it's already seen that's the easiest to find.
I know the algorithms have gotten better but years ago they had a high accuracy AI because it had been trained to look for a ruler that happened to be in most of the pictures that had the cancer from the data set.
I suspect like a lot of things it's going to become haves and have nots where if you still have money you can pay someone to check the AI and if you don't you just have to hope for the best
